Rocky Brands announces marketing, sales promotions

Rocky Brands has promoted Liz Horn to the position of Senior Vice President, Marketing and Amber Vanwy to National Sales and Marketing Manager for the Durango brand within the city fashion channel. The company also promoted eight additional associates within its marketing and sales teams.

Horn joined Rocky Brands in 2006 as a Marketing Manager after working at Yoder and Associates Advertising Agency in Rockville, Md. and Zaner-Bloser, Inc., a division of Highlights for Children in Columbus, Ohio. She was promoted to Vice President of Marketing in 2009.

“We’ve really focused on building our brands and, under the leadership of Liz, we’ve made significant progress in terms of awareness of our Rocky, Georgia Boot and Durango brands,” said David Sharp, CEO of Rocky Brands. “Liz has done a wonderful job and this promotion reflects her value as a member of our senior management team.”

Vanwy joined Rocky Brands in 2008 as a Public Relations Manager and was promoted to Marketing Manager for the Western Division in 2009. She previously worked in marketing and sales at Limited Brands, LLC in Columbus, Ohio. In her new role, she will oversee the sales and marketing of the Durango City line in the fashion and lifestyle market segments.

“It was clear there was no better person to take the Durango brand beyond the western market than Amber,” said Jason Brooks, President, Rocky Brands U.S. Wholesale. “In her new role as National Sales and Marketing Manager for Durango City, we are looking forward to Amber being able to fully focus on driving sales in new retail channels.”
